mafi

In July 2023 we were approached by the internationally recognised flooring brand mafi in Austria. They had identified with our proposition and values, and expressed interest in exploring a collaboration arrangement. That mafi offer such a superior stable, natural, healthy and enduring product, we simply had to embrace the opportunity to work with them!

Behind the mafi brand is a family business from Schneegattern, Upper Austria, which has processed wood as a material for over 100 years.

mafi started as a small sawmill which then evolved from wood ceiling production into the brand for natural and stable natural wood floors. In the course of the production line, mafi opts for regionality and is an important employer in the region. Short distances, established collaborations, familiar processes and fast response times are the advantages of this on-site network. In the end, exactly this holistic approach leads to a high product quality and family values such as trust and unfailing reliability.

Each floor is completely organic and individually tailor-made for each client, with more hands than machines and within four days. Continuous innovations along with the highest quality and naturalness have made mafi successful internationally.

Today, mafi has an extensive following and network around the world of celebrities, architects and interior designers that specify mafi flooring and swear by the symbiosis of perfect naturalness and first-class design for private and commercial projects. This makes mafi one of the most recognised wood floor brands in the world.

British Institute of Interior Design (BIID)

To reflect our involvement with interior designers supporting them in their creation of unique homes, yachts and commercial spaces of the highest quality for their clients, we were delighted that Teer & Co was offered Industry Partnership of the British Institute of Interior Design in 2022.

The BIID is the only professional institute for interior designers in the UK. Its growing membership represents both the commercial and residential sectors, from heritage to cutting edge.

In addition to rigorous entry requirements which assess training, experience and professionalism, the BIID requires its members to continue their professional development throughout their career to ensure their continued expertise in design process, practice and regulatory matters.

For those wishing to find an interior designer or to confirm the credibility of a potential interior designer, the BIID offers a directory of its Registered Interior Designers.

Planted

We were thrilled to be selected as a Brand Partner and enjoyed exhibiting at Planted in King’s Cross in September 2021. Planted is the world’s first contemporary design show aimed at reconnecting people and spaces with nature.

Planted was founded in 2019 by the former owner of designjunction Deborah Spencer, former Sunday Times journalist Sam Peters, River Cottage chief exec Stewart Dodd and commercial design agent, Alice Breed.

With an overdue but growing movement toward sustainable manufacturing processes in the face of man-made climate change, Planted is showcasing beautiful design-led brands playing their part in reducing waste, respecting the environment and reconnecting with nature.

Planted is built upon the principles of biophilic design, connecting other brands, businesses and people seeking to restore nature’s balance and turn the tide on climate change. With the stated aim of being the first zero-waste design-event, all brands showcasing at Planted must demonstrate they place sustainability and the environment at the heart of their business while passing a strict vetting panel of respected industry experts led by Dodds & Shute.

FORM AT WOOD

During the pandemic in 2020 we discovered the work of FORM AT WOOD in Poland which had formed a year earlier in 2019.

We saw an excellent fit with our focus in timber furnishings, and agreed that Teer & Co would act as one of their International Partners around the world offering their range of 2D and 3D decorative wall panelling for use in private and commercial interiors.

Co-founders Kamil Schynol and Mateusz Halek quickly established a strong foundation for FORM AT WOOD. This was based on the knowledge and woodworking experience passed down through generations from Mateusz’s grandfather who set up a carpentry workshop, mastered woodworking technology and introduced machinery that has been operating successfully ever since. With the formation of FORM AT WOOD, an exciting new chapter is unfolding at the same location under the direction of Kamil and Mateusz with whom we enjoy a great working relationship.

Their making is partly based on precision CNC machines, however, their skilled team ensure the end product is expertly hand finished and is pleasing to the eye and touch. The multi-step process of manual processing and control, is a guarantee of the highest quality that satisfies the most demanding customers. Designed to touch, decorative and acoustic wall panels by FORM AT WOOD are inspiring private clients, interior designers and architects around the world.

Alongside the quality of their products, their commitment to ‘full customer satisfaction’ is second to none. We know from having worked closely with them since 2020 how they consistently make providing the highest standard of service their number one priority.

FORM AT WOOD prioritises the well-being of nature. All products are created in line with sustainable development principles and a deep respect for the environment.
