MBDS interior design for the University Arms Hotel, Cambridge

EDGE

Wonderful example of how to design an interior with charm and heritage front of mind, by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio.

The hotel features eclectic design features and bespoke fittings and furniture, all wrapped up within the exquisite architecture from John Simpson Architects

Unsurprisingly, I particularly like the grandeur of the high timber panelling shown here surrounding the reception desk in the grand entrance lobby. Note the ‘hidden’ door built so expertly into the panelling to the right of the reception desk.

The timeless feature panelling prevails throughout, seamlessly connecting the many different rooms and communal areas of the hotel together.
