Join us at XAL for the Shoreditch Design Triangle (part of LDF 2025)

In 2022, Teer & Co, in collaboration with our partner Form At Wood in Poland, custom-designed and installed a bespoke decorative feature wall for a private client in the UK. As part of that project, we had the pleasure of working with the UK arm of Austrian lighting specialists XAL, who supplied an integrated L-shaped grazing light, seamlessly set into the ceiling to illuminate the installation.

The result (below) confirmed something very special: the natural synergy between decorative panelling and integrated lighting. The carefully placed LED lighting not only enhanced the surface profile of the wood panels, highlighting the grain and depth, but also transformed the entire space with a warm and captivating atmosphere.

This shared experience led to us forming a collaborative partnership with XAL who, at that time, were looking for their new showroom in the heart of Shoreditch.

Fast forward to today - XAL now have their characterful and impressive new showroom beneath Shoreditch’s railway arches (below), and we’re delighted to have been invited to collaborate with them for the London Design Festival / Shoreditch Design Triangle (13–21 September 2025).

To mark this event, we’re creating a custom-designed artwork using our decorative panelling - celebrating both craft and our collaboration with XAL in their inspiring new space.

You’re warmly invited

If you’re visiting Shoreditch during the festival, we’d love for you to drop by, explore the showroom, and see our installation. Simon Teer will be there most of the week and would be delighted to connect, share more about our work, and introduce you to XAL’s team and innovative lighting solutions. 

The showroom is only open weekdays during the festival between 15-19 September 2025. There will be several events taking place this week at XAL including:

Open House Mon to Fri (10:30-17:30 / 17:00 on Friday)
Tuesday - Lighting Tour Group (time TBA)
Wednesday - Private function for a client (17:00-22:00)
Thursday - Panel discussion ‘Design that makes Life Better’ (17:30-21:00)
