A soft and porous acoustic design element, Søuld Wooden Joints are a modular acoustic design element that offers a soft calming aesthetic and expression through honest materials and a mindful joint design system. Developed as a flexible acoustic solution, the design features Søuld's Acoustic Mats and are assembled using exposed wooden joints - a subtle yet aesthetic design detail. Each set functions as a standalone acoustic element or can be installed in series to create a cohesive spatial rhythm across interiors.
The design focuses on the honest beauty and tactility of the soft eelgrass panels. There are no frames, moldings, or hidden fixings - the panels are left fully visible, softly curved by the tension of the solid Beech timber fittings. The crafted joints are customised to interlock and held in place with a single screw, creating consistent spacing between each tile, adding tightness and precision to the overall aesthetic.
Mounted in sequence, the Wooden Joints can be extended both horizontally and vertically - allowing for infinite configuration possibilities. Whether used in offices, meeting rooms, hospitality settings, or private homes, the Wooden Joints offer a tactile and visually calming acoustic solution.
