In July 2023 we were approached by the internationally recognised natural wood floors brand mafi in Austria. They had identified a fit with our proposition and values, and expressed an interest to explore a collaboration arrangement. I’ve just returned from a visit to their impressive operation and showroom in beautiful Salzburg to immerse myself in their world, to understand their making process and to finalise the collaboration between us that certifies Teer & Co as a UK Partner to mafi.

New to our Collection for 2023, we’re thrilled to unveil the latest new creative endeavour from our colleagues at Form At Wood - Arch is a delightful new addition to the organic SMOOTH Series of 3D decorative wall panel models.

Inspired by and shaped like ancient arches, and recognising the latest trends in modern interior design and market interest towards naturally curved wall-covering designs, this new 3D model embodies the perfect blend of modern aesthetics and classic charm, making it the ideal addition to any space.

Shown here is a very recent office installation in Denmark by fellow Partners Dinke & Co through our friends Form At Wood who make the beautiful 3D and 2D Decorative and Acoustic Wall Panels we offer through Teer & Co. 

This elegant and considered project uses a mix of two decorative wall panel models - Caro Minus 3D SMOOTH Series and Caro Plus 3D SMOOTH Series - in Oak stained black to finish, to effectively create a hexagonal themed unified set of individual feature wall ‘art’ installations in different spaces throughout the office.

Pictured is a fabulous living room feature wall project by Re+Forma Architecture for a private residence in the US. This project used 13.15 sqm of the Diamond 3D EDGE Series panel in American Walnut natural finish (see our Collection) to create this impressive installation.

A unique one-off piece that is made and ready to ship, the Stickle Bench is a departure from traditional techniques usually employed for chair and bench making. Instead of rails and stretchers to prevent the legs from splaying outwards, this bench supports itself via a steel spine running through the seat from leg to leg. This allows the ribs of the bench to float. 

The bench flexes imperceptibly under load in a way that allows the structure to find a new equilibrium, and subtly evokes the bend and flex of the spine that Will was so inspired by.

As passionate craftsmen, our friends at Form At Wood in Poland specialise in creating luxury wooden panels that blend elegance, sustainability, and the timeless allure of nature's most precious resource - wood. Each panel is meticulously made and hand-finished with love, care, and a deep respect for our environment.

Many of the enquiries we receive for the Decorative Panelling we offer in our Collection from Form At Wood are from private clients for residential use. However, a similar level of enquiries are also received for commercial spaces, especially hospitality environments.

The Arbor Collection, comprising the Arbor Dining Chair and the extending Arbor Dining Table, has been thoughtfully designed by Namon with ‘production efficiency’ as the objective to enable offering affordable handmade pieces, but to retain the qualities of using hand selected sustainable oak alongside a refined level of build.

As a part of our strategy for the next 12-18 months we have been researching and introducing our offer to the hospitality and marine sector, with particular focus on certain offerings from our Collection towards superyacht interior designers. Out of this activity it’s pleasing to see the growing enquiries and interest from overseas and UK based superyacht interior designers in the wellbeing, microclimate and acoustic benefits of installing our luxurious Decorative Panelling and Acoustic Panelling into projects. 

New to our Collection for 2023, DESIGNER is the latest series of decorative panels by FORM AT WOOD, based on patterns created by recognised artists from the world of design. The first in this new series is the IMPRESSIONS model, which awakens the imagination and stimulates the senses. The unique 3D panel was created in cooperation with a living legend of international design, Karim Rashid.

Delighted to be welcoming Aidan Donovan into the Teer & Co fold of Artist-Designer-Makers. Aidan has joined up with us for bespoke commission projects at a time when his practice is expanding and he has just moved into and taken on a new larger premises of his own - we wish him every success in this new exciting phase of his journey!

We’re thrilled to be introducing into our Collection three distinctive new pieces by Sandy Buchanan that were launched at the very recent Collect art fair held at Somerset House. Each handcrafted piece can be customised to specific proportions or timber preferences if required.

Thoroughly enjoyed spending time at Collect art fair on Saturday. Great to see the curated spaces and incredible works on display, including those of Sandy Buchanan and Carl Fox (pics below) who it was great to catch up with. A top show held at the wonderful Somerset House.

Having admired their work for many years, it’s very exciting to announce a collaboration with Giles Miller Studio that sees their stunning etched metal and paper artworks become available to order from our Collection. For those that may not be familiar with their incredible work, Giles Miller Studio is a UK-based practice creating acclaimed and award-winning work for some of the world’s most prestigious brands and clients including; Stella McCartney, Selfridges, the V&A and the Design Museum. 

Thrilled to be welcoming Jan Waterston into the Teer & Co fold of Designer Makers. Jan joins us to offer his flair, imagination and expertise in the creation of truly inspired handcrafted furniture making, from his independent UK based studio. Jan’s talent brings another dimension to our ability to offer a wide range of furniture making styles and skills, and further broadens our capacity to coordinate bespoke commission projects for private clients, interior designers and architects.

Great to be welcoming Will James into the Teer & Co fold of Designer Makers. Will joins us to offer his skills in creating timeless handcrafted furniture, from a small studio and workshop in central London, to support our management of bespoke commission work for interior designers, architects and private clients.
