2023 Project: Our petite role in Mengi Yay’s milestone project

In March 2023 we were approached by Mengi Yay Yachts in Turkey to supply a small quantity of the ever-popular Decorative 3D Wall Panels (made by FORM AT WOOD in Poland) for a prestigious project they recently completed.

Pictured is a fabulous living room feature wall project by Re+Forma Architecture for a private residence in the US. This project used 13.15 sqm of the Diamond 3D EDGE Series panel in American Walnut natural finish (see our Collection) to create this impressive installation.

Growing interest from Superyacht interior designers

As a part of our strategy for the next 12-18 months we have been researching and introducing our offer to the hospitality and marine sector, with particular focus on certain offerings from our Collection towards superyacht interior designers. Out of this activity it’s pleasing to see the growing enquiries and interest from overseas and UK based superyacht interior designers in the wellbeing, microclimate and acoustic benefits of installing our luxurious Decorative Panelling and Acoustic Panelling into projects.

New to our Collection for 2023, DESIGNER is the latest series of decorative panels by FORM AT WOOD, based on patterns created by recognised artists from the world of design. The first in this new series is the IMPRESSIONS model, which awakens the imagination and stimulates the senses. The unique 3D panel was created in cooperation with a living legend of international design, Karim Rashid.

2022 Project: Customising a unique Feature Wall for a private client

In late January 2022 we were approached by a private client to discuss a custom-designed feature wall installation of the 2D and 3D Wall Panels we offer in the hallway of their Bedfordshire home. From the first conversation late January 2022 to completion of the installation in July 2022, this customised order took 6 months to complete, however, these installations can be delivered in a shorter timeframe if required.

Surface Design Show & BIID Collaboration Event

Great to spend time at the Surface Design Show in the Business Design Centre, which opened its Loyalty Lounge to BIID Members and Industry Partners. BIID President Lindsey Rendall hosted a talk with Robert Thake of Robert London Design and Helena Martin of Hollaway Studio about how the dynamics of building relationships differs between large and small practices.

This was followed by informal networking between Interior Designers and Industry Partners.
